The Melt Method
Sweat. Chill. Connect. Reset.
At Melt, we believe in purposeful recovery. The Melt Method offers a simple, science-backed structure for your contrast therapy sessions. It’s not just about the sauna or the cold plunge—it’s about cultivating discipline, inner strength, and renewal through consistent practice.
What Is Sisu?
Sisu is a uniquely Finnish concept with no direct translation. It speaks to inner strength, quiet determination, and the ability to push through discomfort with dignity and grit. It’s not about brute force—it’s about calm perseverance in the face of challenge.
At Melt, we see Sisu as the spirit of the plunge. When you sit in the heat just a little longer, or breathe through the cold for a few more seconds, you're not just conditioning your body—you’re training your mind.
Your Session Flow
Start Here:
8–12 minutes in the sauna
(Aim to build up to 20 minutes over time)1 minute in the cold plunge
(Eventually working up to 3 minutes)Hydrate
(We recommend sipping on electrolytes to maintain hydration between rounds)
Repeat this cycle for 2–3 rounds, or tailor it to your body’s signals.
Over time, your tolerance, focus, and recovery capacity improve—and so does your Sisu.
